A Place To Talk (APTT) provides student-to-student peer listening for all Homewood undergraduates to discuss anything from everyday frustrations to serious concerns. Peer listeners are undergraduate students who have been trained to listen and respond without giving advice, and all visits to APTT are private.
Groups therapy allow students to address their concerns through engagement with others. There are a variety of groups that meet to discuss such topics as substance abuse, dissertation stress, women’s empowerment, understanding self and others for men, LGBTQ support, eating disorders, and living with loss.
Take a break and chat with Dr. Hou from the Counseling Center over a cup of coffee or tea at Brody Cafe from 3-5pm on Fridays. Learn about campus resources, discuss tips for academic success and well-being, talk about personal experiences, or just stop by to say hi. Feel free to come on your own or bring a friend along with you.
This is a yoga class geared specifically toward athletes to allow for a hard physical workout, but also to mentally challenge them to develop some mindfulness skills.
