Containment measures have been successful and will allow us to return to in-person classes and other activities at Homewood on February 11.

After a peak of 44 new COVID cases on February 2, cases have been trending down. If trends continue, in-person classes and activities for Homewood undergraduates will resume on February 11.

All undergraduates are now required to get tested three times a week, effective Friday, Feb. 5, until further notice. No gatherings of any size are allowed for undergraduates, on campus or off, indoors or outdoors, through Monday morning at 8 a.m. 

After detecting a cluster of COVID-19 among undergraduate students, the university has suspended in-person undergraduate classes on the Homewood campus as well as other in-person activities for two days.

We believe we can prudently and safely move to a more extensive on-campus experience for the spring semester.

Johns Hopkins University will expand asymptomatic testing for students in the days before the winter break begins.

Continue to remain physically distanced from others, avoid large gatherings, and be diligent about using masks, washing hands, and monitoring for symptoms.

The Hopkins community is strongly urged to get a flu shot, and many of us are required to do so. The university has set up several ways to make the process easy and cost-free.

It is more crucial than ever to get vaccinated against the seasonal flu.

The university stands prepared to support students with enhanced programming and staff this fall.
