Amber Murphy, assistant director for communication access, will present on different modalities to aid in communication (such as live transcription, closed captioning, ASL interpreters, and other accommodations) as well as Deaf cultural practices and norms to consider in any setting. Light refreshments provided to in-person attendees.

Join a pre-screening and discussion of Feels Like Home, a film about life at home for families of children with medical complexities and disabilities. The event includes a fireside chat with the filmmakers, an expert panel discussion about the value of home modifications for families of children with disabilities, and a reception and gallery walk.
