Community Recovery Resources
While Johns Hopkins students may receive short-term services from Health Promotion and Well-Being’s Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Specialist and the Counseling Center, some students may prefer private resources or require longer-term services. Therefore, we have compiled the following list of resources available in the Baltimore area for students experiencing AOD concerns to access.
There are two main types of treatment: inpatient and outpatient. Inpatient treatments typically involve residing at the facility for the duration of treatment, creating 24/7 access to care. Outpatient programs are part-time, allowing the individual receiving services to continue with their other responsibilities, such as school or work.
